Hello and welcome to Fluency Space! My name is David, and I am the founder. For over 13 years, I have been helping professionals to improve their confidence in business English.
During my years as a teacher, I have taught hundreds of professionals across the world including company owners, CEOs, CFOs, as well as professionals in marketing, sales, HR, IT and finance. During that time, it has become very clear that there are certain aspects of lessons that English learners really appreciate at intermediate to advanced level. So in 2018 I decided to create Fluency Space.
At Fluency Space we teach exclusively intermediate to advanced learners with online lessons or courses. We do not teach for exams, our role is exclusively to make you feel more confident in an international business environment.
Fluency Space is based on these founding principles:
- Tailored lessons to make you feel confident in an international business environment - Our focus is to help you to deal with international clients, or to gain a position in an international company. We do not teach for exams, instead we strive to tailor our lessons and courses to your specific goals and needs.
- Vocabulary that you will really use - This requires both experience and an understanding of a wide range of roles in business and finance. I have collected 11 years worth of data on vocabulary that my students really need based on real discussion. This has given me a clear understanding of the vocabulary that you really need to boost your business English in any scenario.
- Getting vocabulary into your active English - This means that I often base lessons around discussion and getting vocabulary and grammar accuracy into active spoken English.
- Materials based on best-selling business writers - Why not learn something about mindsets for success, leadership, habit building, cognitive biases and business success (and failure) stories along the way!
All of our teachers buy into these 4 key pillars of Fluency space, and they are all fully TEFL certified with at least 5 years experience in Business English.
We offer 3 types of lessons, which can be found below. Each style can be made into a tailored course for your needs. Alternatively, lessons can be taken individually for those who are looking to maintain their level over a long-term basis, or manage lessons around a busy work schedule.
